NEW E-COMMERCE "ACCESSORY" CROSS-SELL FEATURE HELPS MAXIMISE SALES OPPORTUNITIES

A new eVision B2B module has just been released to help corporations create additional accessory sales opportunities with users browsing online catalogues for technical and spare parts information.
 
Customers specifically interested in purchasing accessories will typically drill into the relevant section of their online catalogues, browse through the various options and add products to their shopping cart.
If, on the other hand, their main goal is to source product data, technical information or just to purchase spare parts, they will most likely ignore the accessory section altogether. Given that parts and accessories sales often go hand in hand this effectively translates to missed opportunities.
 
Thanks to eVision's new feature, as users drill down to a product and find the technical and parts data they require, a display of relevant goods and accessories will also become visible. This extra point of contact with merchandise that would otherwise have gone unnoticed is more likely to result in incremental sales, much the same way high volume items are positioned close to a supermarket check-out counter to trigger an impulse buy.
 
eVision's B2B Administration tool enables back-office administrators to decide which accessories, or groups of accessories already present in mediaCAT Foundation's database to associate with any given product. These accessories may then be purchased directly from this new browsable section.
